On se taquine un peu, mais un a tous aussi le <span style="font-style: italic;">motton</span> - notre semaine en gang tire à sa fin. Au total, on a peut-être eu 20 minutes de pluie alors qu'on longeait le Saguenay, et même ce matin, il fait un soleil radieux (mais orages prévus en après-midi).<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />On roulera à un bon rythme jusqu'à Gaspé, même qu'on arrivera plus tôt que prévu (<span style="font-weight: bold;">la machine! la machine!</span>). On se paiera la traite à La Banquise (Tommy a même pris un <span style="font-style: italic;">banana split</span>...). La plupart les redoutent, car ils savent quelles souffrances seront les leurs pendant les nombreuses ascensions. Assez paradoxalement (du moins pour les non cyclistes), d'autres ont <span style="font-weight: bold;">hâte</span> de les affronter. Une bonne côte sera toujours l'occasion de se mesurer comme cycliste.<br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />Donc, ce matin, petit déjeûner en grand groupe, Sandrine, Sarah, Tommy, Olivier et Guillaume étant maintenant membres du peloton (en plus de Jérôme, leur directeur). On sentait un mélange d'excitation et d'appréhension - les <span style="font-style: italic;">côtes de la Madeleine</span> nous attendaient!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Vers 8h, on s'apprête à partir. Mais avant, un petit souvenir de ce groupe de jeunes courageux qui se lancent dans cette aventure après des semaines de préparation. Bravo à Pierre-Luc pour les avoir encadrés. Les deux pelotons se fragmentent - on monte seul ou en petits groupes. Même que certains coqs en arrachent derrière notre championne... Et on passe au travers! Rachelle nous a photographiés, et un oeil attentif lira facilement la fatigue sur les visages.<br /><br />Les chambres étaient propres et confortables - on était loin des <span style="font-style: italic;">Mouettes</span> de Matane... mais il faut dire que la grosse bière coûtait plus que 5 piastres.<br /><br />Les ados sont arrivés en fin d'après-midi. Ils pédaleront les deux prochaines journées avec nous. Et on avait une petite surprise pour notre homme à tout faire, toujours souriant et avenant, à qui on avait réservé un maillot du <span style="font-style: italic;">Défi des 2 Tours</span>. Puis, dépôt de ses sacs dans la remorque et mise au point de son vélo avant le petit déjeûner.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Ensuite, direction Matane via Amqui. Certains commencent à montrer des signes de fatigue, ont mal à un genou, aux fesses, ou à un tendon d'Achille. Même que la <span style="font-style: italic;">lanterne rouge</span> fera une partie du trajet en voiture-balai avec notre cher Denis (ça permettra d'avoir des photos <span style="font-style: italic;">en action</span>!). Journée ponctuée de quatre crevaisons de pneus de vélo, plus un pneu de la remorque! Peter crèvera trois fois à lui seul.
